About this venue
Guest accommodation, tea rooms, a restaurant and fashion and giftware retail share a Georgian townhouse in central Birr, giving a group places to stay, eat and browse under one roof. Designed by the second Earl of Rosse, the house dates from the early nineteenth century and retains original features, high ceilings and large sash windows. The tea rooms occupy the former ground floor drawing room, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and sweet treats. Dining also takes place on a heated, covered terrace and in the garden courtyard. On Oxmantown Mall, the house faces Birr Theatre & Arts Centre and stands beside the main gates of Birr Castle Gardens & Science Centre.
