Casa da Capelinha is in Ponta Delgada on Madeira, within reach of levada walks, natural pools, the Laurissilva forest and secluded villages. The property occupies a Madeiran manor house that has belonged to the same family for more than two centuries and was restored with its local history in mind. Accommodation ranges from studios to apartments with kitchens and private balconies; some look out over the Atlantic, while others have partial sea views. Baixas restaurant serves Madeiran cooking with carefully chosen wine, and its bar terrace becomes a gathering place at sunset, with homemade poncha on offer. The grounds also include a swimming pool, garden and a common room with a solarium.
