About this venue
Built in 1911, Villa Idalina is a Brazilian-style mansion with a story rooted in its founder’s return from Rio de Janeiro to his home village of Seixas do Minho. Its terraces look towards the mouth of the River Minho, while the façade is worked with stone, hand-painted tiles and wrought iron. Original furniture, inlaid Pino Tea floors and stuccoed walls and ceilings preserve the house’s period character. Gatherings can take place in the elegant salon or in the gardens, with the option of a garden walk followed by a guided tour of the interior. Brunch is served as a buffet of handmade sweet and savoury dishes prepared in the house kitchen.
