Upon Vila stands in Alcochete, on Lisbon’s doorstep, where the city’s energy gives way to a quieter rural landscape. The Tagus estuary brings birdwatching, scenic trails and cycling routes within reach, while the town’s white houses and colourful tiles reflect its local traditions. The hotel’s rustic character takes its cue from Alcochete’s traditional country estates. Meeting and event spaces are available for company gatherings. On site, a heated pool has both indoor and outdoor sections, alongside the Rooftop Bar. Alcochete’s local cooking draws on tradition and contemporary flavours, with fish caldeirada among the dishes made using fresh regional ingredients.
