Solar de Boaventura sits in Boaventura, on Madeira’s north coast, with the Laurissilva Forest in the surrounding mountains and the sea close by. Hiking trails run nearby; Pico do Arco is 800 metres away, while Calhau da Boaventura is one kilometre from the hotel. The building is a carefully refurbished rural manor, retaining features of Madeira’s traditional quintas. Its common lounges occupy the historic building, and a small museum presents objects and tools from everyday Madeiran life. The restaurant serves traditional Madeiran cuisine, with a bar, terraces and gardens on site. For a break between sessions, there is outdoor mini-golf, billiards and a games room, as well as a solarium.
