Quinta do Serpa stands in Vialonga, within the Bucelas wine region and along the Loures to Vila Franca de Xira corridor. The grounds meet the woodland of Paraíso and the Alpriate stream, with cultivated gardens set against preserved rural land. Its manor house is an example of eighteenth-century Portuguese civil architecture, and the estate’s agricultural past remains visible in its old press, wine cellar, storerooms and historic farm implements. Two halls occupy separate floors of the main house, each with its own entrance from the courtyard paved in Portuguese stone. From there, paths lead into a garden shaded by old, spreading trees. A further hall, built in keeping with the estate’s historic architecture, is intended for large events.
