Quinta do Freixo is a family-run working farm where regenerative production shapes both the landscape and what is served on site. Its event space sits within gardens planted with native species, with paths and quiet corners alongside cascades fed by the natural spring at Rocha da Pena. Much of the farm’s produce goes into the food made here, including fruit and vegetables turned into jams and other traditional products. Regular tractor visits travel across pastures with native breeds of sheep, pigs and cattle, stop by twin lakes where visitors can swim, and include a look inside the jam factory with tastings of its products. The farm also produces aromatic herbs, cork and carob, alongside its livestock and crops.
