About this venue
Arriving in central Viseu, guests check into a former hospital dating from 1842, recast as a hotel by architect Gonçalo Byrne and looking out towards the old town. Breakfast is served at Lafões, while Viriato gives traditional Beira cooking a fresh interpretation at lunch and dinner. In the evening, the bar in the Mestre Grão Vasco cloister pours cocktails and Dão wine; the Salão Nobre provides a more private setting for dinner. For company gatherings, there are adaptable meeting rooms, and the grand cloister also hosts concerts, exhibitions and craft shows. Between sessions, guests can use the outdoor pool, the heated indoor pool or the massage room, before leaving from a hotel set among Viseu’s historic streets.
