Meetings can take place in the chapter room, the former church nave or the old transept, which can be set aside as a private or additional room. The Pousada occupies the former Franciscan Convent of São Francisco in central Beja, where Gothic architecture and nearly eight centuries of history shape the setting. A seventeenth-century Gothic chapel is also available for ceremonies. São Francisco restaurant is housed in the friars’ former refectory and serves Alentejo cooking, including regional soups, cod with an Alentejo bread crust and convent sweets. There is a bar for drinks, with a pool bar serving light food in summer. Gardens, an outdoor swimming pool and a tennis court give groups room to take a break between sessions.
