About this venue
Set on the Taubenberg mountain in the Bavarian foothills at 823 metres, Maroldhof is a family-run converted farmhouse dating back some 300 years. The property sits on a large clearing in forest, with eight guest rooms including single, double and family options. The 160 square-metre dining hall features a vaulted ceiling and tiled stove, while a cosy beer garden with old trees offers an atmospheric setting. The kitchen serves Bavarian and international dishes, with breakfast featuring eggs from the property's own hens, mountain honey from their bees, homemade preserves, sausages, ham, cheese and fresh bread. Guest rooms are newly renovated and individually furnished. Walking and cycling paths run directly past the house, and the surrounding region offers minigolf, mountain railways, museums, swimming, fishing and kayaking. Free WiFi throughout the house. The venue welcomes weddings, corporate celebrations, seminars, workshops and private events, with options for live music, bonfires, torch-lit walks and games. A flat-screen TV with USB connection and Bluetooth speakers are available in the dining room.
