The eighteenth-century Baroque palace has a conference centre and meeting rooms, giving a company gathering a base within the historic house. Parador Casa da Ínsua stands on the Quinta da Ínsua estate, among the Dão wine route vineyards and within a landscape linked to Serra da Estrela Natural Park. Rooms and corridors carry stories of the former owners and of Portuguese and Brazilian history, while the grounds include gardens and an outdoor pool. Wine tastings take place in the cellar, and the estate produces Serra da Estrela cheese, olive oil, preserves and Bravo de Esmolfe apples alongside its Casa da Ínsua wines. There is also a restaurant, a bar and a shop selling handmade gourmet products. Viseu is about thirty kilometres away; Porto is roughly an hour and a half by road.
