About this venue
A nineteenth-century Neoclassical palace and an adjoining chapel give Palácio da Borralha its distinctive character. Built in 1843 to replace an earlier sixteenth-century building, the house also carries later revivalist features. Its walled grounds include a garden with mature trees, lakes and an artificial grotto, while the chapel has pointed-arch windows and a tower. Listed as a monument of public interest, the property is used for events as well as hotel functions. Intercity buses run from Águeda, and Águeda railway station is another access option.
