In western Portugal, within the Monastery of Alcobaça, the hotel occupies the historic Claustro do Rachadouro, part of the UNESCO World Heritage site. The setting puts the monastery’s history and the town close at hand, while rooms and suites look either onto the cloister or towards Alcobaça. Meetings can take place in flexible rooms with natural light, and a separate event hall occupies the site of the monastery’s former library. The interiors were designed by architects Souto Moura and Siza Vieira. A restaurant, spa with a Turkish bath and an indoor pool are also on site.
