Groups can meet in the ballroom, Glencar Suite or cellar-level boardroom, with terraces and gardens extending events outdoors. Lough Eske Castle stands on the shore of Lough Eske, just outside Donegal Town, beneath the Bluestack Mountains. The present building, in an Elizabethan style, occupies the site of an earlier Brooke mansion. Woodland north of the castle holds ruins associated with the O’Donnell family, whose earlier castle stood in the area. Cedars Restaurant, bars and lounges cover meals and informal drinks, while menus can also be prepared for events and weddings. CARA Spa sits in the castle’s walled garden, with treatment facilities, pools, outdoor hot tubs and a fitness centre.
