The Johannishütte is an accessible, managed mountain hut located in the Venediger group, overlooking the Großvenediger peak. It was extensively renovated and expanded around 2000, offering a comfortable base for high-altitude ski touring from March to May, as well as being the starting point for various hikes and crossings in the Venediger area. Managed by the Unterwurzacher family since 1995, the hut offers a warm atmosphere and hearty meals, making it suitable for both weekend escapes and longer treks. Guests can enjoy views of the surrounding mountains and engage in activities such as hiking, climbing, and mountain biking. The hut supports alpine sports and provides a cozy refuge after a day in the outdoors.
