Hotel Parador Santa Catarina looks out over the Miranda do Douro dam and the cliffs of the Douro, within Douro International Natural Park. Miranda do Douro’s historic centre is close by, with surrounding countryside to explore on foot or by bicycle. Formerly known as Pousada de Santa Catarina, the hotel retains the building’s modernist design in its rooms. Events can be held in the original hotel space or in a newer room connected to the granite terraces. The restaurant serves Mirandese cuisine made with traditional regional produce and local meats, alongside a tile panel by Júlio Resende dated 1959.
