About this venue
Casas de Romaria is a village-style rural stay in Brotas, suited to a quiet retreat in independent houses rather than a conventional hotel setting. The village has six centuries of history tied to devotion to Nossa Senhora de Brotas, and its surroundings remain distinctly agricultural and rural. The former confraternity houses have been restored with their original architectural character intact and furnished with objects from everyday life. Each house has its own kitchen and air conditioning. Confraria de Cabeção serves as the reception and shared base, while Confraria da Água is a leisure space set into the hillside opposite the sanctuary, with a viewpoint. Breakfast is served daily, and Brotas is a little over an hour from Lisbon.
