Casa do Almocreve is a rural guesthouse in Portela do Gôve for a quiet break, with its story rooted in the Douro’s former pack-trading life. Its rooms pair everyday objects from the region’s rural past with a light, warm modern style. A lounge with a fireplace and billiards opens onto gardens, a swimming pool and views towards the mountains; the grounds also include a games field, an organic vegetable garden and an orchard. Breakfast is served buffet-style, with fruit, breads, cheese, cakes and homemade jams.
