Company groups come to Azoris Faial Garden for meetings framed by Horta’s marina, the Atlantic and Pico Island. In the city centre, close to the harbour and Café Peters, the hotel occupies a building once used by the American Western Union Telegraph Company, a reminder of Horta’s role in undersea cable communications between Europe and America. Its classical interiors carry a touch of nostalgia, while guest rooms are spread between the main building and villas set in the gardens. Meeting spaces range from smaller rooms for focused sessions to larger venues used for congresses and company dinners, with some looking onto the gardens or bringing in natural light. At Varanda da Horta restaurant, the view runs across the marina and sea towards Pico and São Jorge. The wellness centre has an indoor heated pool, sauna, Turkish bath, jacuzzi and gym.
