Azoris Angra Garden sits on Praça Velha in the UNESCO-listed historic centre of Angra do Heroísmo, close to the city’s shops and social spots. The municipal garden adjoins the hotel, with greenery visible from some rooms and the restaurant. Once the first hotel in the city, the building forms part of the protected heritage area and survived the 1980 earthquake; its original lines now meet more recent renovations, while shops and a chapel remain on site. Meeting spaces range from a glass-walled room looking onto both hotel gardens to rooms used for conferences and company dinners. Restaurante Garden and Plaza Bistro & Wine Bar provide places to eat and drink, and the wellness area includes an indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym. The old town’s streets begin just outside the hotel.
