The Salzstiegelhaus is a rustic and cozy hotel situated at an altitude of 1553 meters. Its history dates back to around 1900 when it was first established as a small self-sufficient hut used for salt transport and horse exchanges, serving as a crossing point from Salzkammergut to the south. The building has expanded over the years while maintaining a hut-like atmosphere. It features two comfortable dining rooms accommodating about 100 guests and a terrace that can host around 80 people in good weather. Located approximately 30 km from the Red Bull Ring Spielberg, it offers simple home-style cooking. The hotel is open daily from 9:00 AM with Tuesdays as a rest day.
